In solidarity with all the other communities out there that are participating in socially ostracizing Chick Fil A, the Richmond community will be spreading freedom, too!
Remember though, this is not a protest. Protesting implies concessions, compromises, or deals. And there are no compromises when it comes to freedom. There are no exceptions to the violence that comes with advocating for laws that prevent individual people from wanting to be together through marriage.
It’s simply a demonstration of our genuine love and care for one another, regardless of their sexuality, ethnicity, religion, race, etc. We value the person for their values, not for the labels.
Afterwards, let’s head on down to the River City’s First Fridays Art Walk and enjoy the creative endeavors of our local artists and the small businesses that do share real community values for non-violence, equality, and freedom.
So bring your friends! And definitely take pictures to show the world that we really do care about each other in our community!
And now for your viewing pleasure, I present you Chow Down (at Chick-fil-A):
